Welcome to Def City! I'm a wedding and event DJ in Halifax, West Yorkshire. No pre-planned sets, I go with the night, take requests, read the room and have fun with it!
I love funk, disco, house, indie, hip-hop, R&B, rock and alternative, but a good record is a good record. If it works, I'm in! Cool is the enemy of fun!

    I play open format and genuinely love all styles. I've played and released music in bands as well as released electronic EPs. I'm discerning but not a music snob so I'll play good music from your preferred genre, but love throwing in old favourites. I'm not against a sprinkle of cheese if needed  to get the party vibes going!

    I've DJed at over 300 events over the last few years (mostly weddings).

    Prior to that I've promoted club nights and well established bands in Leeds, Halifax and Hebden Bridge at top venues.

    As standard, I use the following equipment:

    Audio

    Traktor DJ controller with Mac book

    RCF 6 channel mixer

    2x RCF J8 speakers

    Wireless Microphone


    Lights

    4x Wall washes

    8x Uplights 

    4x Chauvet Freedom sticks

    Yes so venues can be assured. I also hold a full Enhanced DBS.

    Of course. I'll usually squeeze them in as long as they're in keeping with the clients overall vibes.

    Yes of course. I'll help you with the running of the event as much as I can. 

    Yes, I'll mix dance music and transition multiple genres to keep the party going as smooth as possible. 

    I am based in Halifax but cover Leeds, Bradford and the rest of West Yorkshire. I play York, Sheffield and Manchester. Get in touch to enquire about your area. 

    My pricing varies depending on the event type, duration, location, and equipment requirements. 

    Standard Package Pricing in West Yorkshire is:

    Up to 3hrs: £300

    Up to 5hrs: £550

    Over 5hrs: £650
